Alphabetizing archives

Many people seem to want to know how to alphabetize their archives, ie instead of the newest entry at the top to the oldest entry at the bottom, they want entries starting with A at the top and Z at the bottom. This can be done quite simply from MT as well. Just use

<MTEntries sort_by="title" sort_order="ascend">

Is there a way to alphabetize your entries but then cut it off at say "g?" You know like if I wanted to archive a bunch of stuff but didn't want it all on the same page. On one page I would have A-G, the next would H-M, and so on..

Can you do that? If not, can someone please make a plugin!!?
