UPDATE: I've just pushed out a silent update that fixes a problem with custom entry field descriptions not showing. Thanks Nilesh!

A new version of CustomFields is available that fixes four bugs that people found;

  • CustomFields weren't editable in Internet Explorer
  • Textareas would break the layout of the entry screen in Internet Explorer
  • CustomFields data would get erased during Power Editing mode.
  • If a field description was empty the brackets would still show
This new version also implements a new resizing control for textareas. Many users complained the previous method either didn't work or looked ugly. As a result, the new control takes up much less space, doesn't cause the layout to break and is much more usable.

Go grab the new copy.

Hey Arvind,

I get this error when trying to rebuild my author archives:

Can't use string ("__default__") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at /web/script/bluemag/bluemag.com/mt/plugins/CustomFields/lib/ExtAuthors.pm line 229.

This is the code I'm using:

<MTAuthorData>
<MTAuthorDataIfFieldValue><p><MTAuthorDataFieldName>: <MTAuthorDataFieldValue></p></MTAuthorDataIfFieldValue>
</MTAuthorData>

Only one author out of 10 or so has anything in the Bio field. Any ideas?
