Thanks Arvind! 2.11 definitely fixed the blogroll problem with dynamic indexes. Keep up the great work!

I got it to display. But, the "Blogroll It" bookmarklet doesn't work as it should. I get a 404 error. There is something wrong here.
I don't doubt others have figured out how to fix it (and other problems), but I'm not others. When I get some software I expect complete, comprehensive instructions.
Such as for MTBlogroll's templates. How do you access them through MT's admin system? Do you add them to the Templates page, and if so, how.
There are a number of other issues that need to be adressed. Go through ever step you take to install MTBlogroll and make it fully functional and write it down.
Yes, I got frustrated. I had damn good reason to. You assume too much. Not everybody has your technological expertise. I'd love to make full use of MTBlogroll, for the simple reason it means I won't have to rely on a service that aint all that reliable. But as it stands, I have to rely on it because you forgot to include important information.
You can contact me at mythusmage@mythusmage.com if you wish to continue this discussion.

Apparently banning you from the forums wasn't enough. You apparently don't seem to understand how to use MT as there is no "Accessing MT Blogroll's Templates,", to get a blogroll to display in your templates you have to use template tags, the bookmarklet will only show a 404 if you've incorrectly installed MT Blogroll.
Yes you're right, I assume too much, I assume a user knows how to use MT, I assume a user knows how to FTP and set permissions and I assume they can read the documentation. As the docs explain, installation is as simple as dropping the files in place and clicking a button. There is a guide to accessing the interface and example template code with detailed listings of the template tags. Most of them are step by step if you take the time to read them. When you posted your cussing post on the forums and flamed all over the place i took the time to re-read the documentation and I haven't missed out any steps whatsoever in the documentation.
I find it ironic how you say here you'd LOVE to use MT Blogroll as Blogrolling isn't apparently as reliable but didn't you just say on my forums that Blogrolling knew what they were doing and I wasn't?
Apparently banning you on the forums wasn't enough, consider yourself banned here too and if that's too hard for you to understand, No I do not wish to continue the discussion any further.
Oh and one last thing. You seem to think you deserve or are entitled to support, good documentation etc. First of all we're talking about free software, why do you think you're entitled to anything? You haven't donated either so any support you receive is simply because I don't like to leave my users in the blue

This is fantastic software, and I'm quite happy with it. I have noticed a few things that I'd like to bring to your attention.
First, to sort the categories other than alphabetically, you can insert an HTML comment before the name, such as:
<-- 1 -->one name <-- 2 -->another name
These will sort, and display, as 'one name' followed by 'another name'. This is useful if your blog categories themselves have a priority (for which of course there is currently no feature in MTBlogroll).
Second, I found what I believe to be a bug. Create links with priorities 5, 10, 20, 50 75. The text should be such that the links would alphabetically sort differently from the priority order. I have noticed that in this case, 5 sorts adjacent to 50, not before 10. I am guessing that an alpha sort is being done, rather than a numeric sort.
Third, the description field doesn't handle quote characters correctly. The first quote causes the field to truncate. Ironically, this works fine for entry, but not on editing. I suspect that this is a SQL quoting issue (I'm using PostgreSQL) rather than a software bug per se. However, it would be nice if more input validation could be done on the fields, including quoting characters as needed.
That's it. I'm still in the process of converting my blogroll over, but I'm loving this: it's so much easier than handling the links manually in the MT templates.

Hello. I also want to say thanks to Arvind for not only this plugin, but for all the good service you provide to us who don't really know what we are doing but just install and cross our fingers :)
Anyway...I have a question: When I add link categories in MT Blogroll I get a--> at the end, like this:
Hull ABC Kistalight KistaChic Kistavädret
utombyss--> Nyligen.se Intressant.se And so on. I write the category names without any extra types: egna, grannar and so on.
The first category I call "egna" and that does not even show. Any idea on how I can solve this? Or will that be fixed if I upgrade frpm 2.1 to 2.11?

Sorry Arvind and others. I did not see the note about postintg in the Forum. I will do that instead. Once again, sorry. My limits in english is to blame...or just my sloppiness.;)

I've been using MT Blogroll for a while now and it's been working fine. Just to let you know, though, that it seems to have some problems with the betas of Movable Type 3.3. I've tried it with both beta 1 and beta 2 and each time I try to access it using the menu system, I get the following error:
"unknown column: label for class Blogroll::Category at ../../lib/MT/Object.pm line 278"
My site won't rebuild any pages that contain MT Blogroll tags. I've reinstalled MT Blogroll using the latest download, but that doesn't seem to help. However, I can still access the plug in's preferences screen from the System Overview screen.
Not expecting support: just letting you know there might be a problem when the final version comes out!
