The New Editing Screen

One of the things I'm most proud of and excited about in the next version of MT Blogroll is the new link editing screen. Previously fields were scattered all over the page with no real order nor explanation of what to enter, hence I completely overhauled it.

I feel the new screen flows much better than the old one, with fields being grouped according to importance and similarity. A few of the fields also have a brief description that should help the user understand what to enter. This screen can of course be customized as before using the "Customize the display of this page" link a the bottom.

Also noteworthy is the QuickAdd box which has now moved to the top of the page (underneath the breadcrumbs) and will be available from any page of MT Blogroll, simply enter a URL and the link will be automatically added to your blogroll.

The new screen looks nice. I noticed that the 'target' field is now a drop down list instead of an open entry box. Is that field going to be limited to specific choices in the new version? I use that field for the name of the HTML page of the entry (something like 000257.shmtl) where I introduced this link in my blogroll. Will I need to put that info somewhere else?

Thanks.

I should've mentioned that in the entry. The target drop down menu will give you 4 typical target options, _self _blank _parent and _top. It also provides a "Custom Target" option which will cause a textbox to appear where you can enter a custom target. So in your case you can put your HTML page in there.
